Olive Cultivars
Italian olive-growing tradition
In our nursery in the Pescia area (Pistoia), we grow the main Italian cultivars, with a particular focus on Tuscan varieties. These include: Leccino, Frantoio, Moraiolo, Pendolino, and Maurino.
Alongside these varieties, we also offer prized cultivars such as: Piantone di Mogliano, Bianchera, and Coratina. The choice of cultivar is made by considering:
- Territorial characteristics
- Regional variety lists
- The company’s production goals
Cultivars for super-intensive system
We specialize in the production of varieties destined for intensive and super-intensive plantations. Main varieties include: Koroneiki, Arbequina, Arbosana, and Lecciana. These cultivars allow for:
- Mechanized harvesting
- High planting density
- Rapid entry into production
Consultancy for variety selection
Choosing the right cultivar is decisive for the success of an olive grove. For this reason, we offer personalized technical consultancy, evaluating: Soil characteristics, exposure, climate, and production goals. For example:
- For high-quality oils → Moraiolo
- For balanced production → Leccino + Frantoio
